What we do?

Afripharma is a facility where medicines and other pharmaceutical products are manufactured.
The reference pharmaceutical production unit based in sub-Saharan Africa, more precisely in Cameroon in the coastal region, opened its doors in 2001 and is actively participating in the development of health in the sub-region.
Recognised as a benchmark for pharmaceutical production in Cameroon by the Minister of Health, HE ANDRE MAMA FOUDA, in 2009, the Compagnie Industrielle Pharmaceutique Afripharma has become one of the giants of production in Africa through its two large units.

Our new laboratory was inaugurated on 03 September 2009 in response to the challenges posed by current requirements in terms of pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Thanks to our cutting-edge equipment, the skills of our staff and the variety of our therapeutic offering, we are emerging as one of the major players in the modern pharmaceutical industry on the African continent, fully equipped to meet today's public health challenges.
We are more than just a manufacturer of medicines; we are also a platform open to partnerships with laboratories wishing to manufacture medicines under licence.

A complex tailored to needs

Our industrial site is one of the companies in the region offering a variety of production sites. Afripharma has been structured into 2 separate manufacturing units in compliance with current pharmaceutical GMPs, in particular those of the WHO:
- The premises and equipment have been designed and installed in such a way as to minimise any risk of error; to allow effective maintenance and cleaning; to avoid any risk of contamination, and in general, any impairment of product quality.
- The movement of people was perfectly segregated from that of materials.
- A fully-equipped building has been dedicated to the manufacture and quality control of Betalactam antibiotics.
